Subscribe to KS 2010 ATP Email distribution list
We have set up an email group distribution list as a way to provide more timely communication to a broader base of parents of the Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus Class of 2010.  Benefits include reminder email to monthly Class of 2010 parent meetings and minutes, occasional information on events and activities for the Class of 2010.  In the past, we have successfully used email to communicate details on the class pool party, movie night, talent show, bowling, and Ho'olaulea.

A group email distribution list has been setup with Yahoo Groups.  Once subscribed, you will receive messages sent to the group distribution list.  The email addresses in the list are not visible to the general public and only members can send to this group distribution list.

To subscribe, do the following 3 simple steps (detailed steps below):
1.  Sign on to the email account you wish to use in the distribution list.
2.  Copy/paste and fill out the form below.
3.  Confirm your email address.

Step 1 - Sign on to your email account.  This is the email address that will be included in our email list.

Step 2 - Highlight all the text in the shaded box below.  Right-click "Copy" and paste the questionnaire into a new message in your email account.  Do not send as an attachment.

Address the message with both of these email addresses:
     TO:  ks2010-subscribe@yahoogroups.com 
     CC:  ATouchAboveTravel@prodigy.net 
 

Add the following in the subject line:  Subscribe <your name>
 

The moderator (Ken) will not see your application until you reply to the confirmation message from Yahoo.

Step 3 - Confirm your email address to Yahoo.

 

After sending the questionnaire, wait a few minutes and then check for new messages. (With Outlook or Outlook Express, click the "Send/Receive" button to download any new messages from your ISP.)

 

You will receive an automatic "Please confirm your request to join" message from Yahoo.

 

Just reply to the confirmation message – no need to open the message.  (The content of the reply does not matter)

 

Your request to add your email address to the group list is not available to the moderator until you reply to the confirmation message from Yahoo.  (As an anti-spam measure, the Yahoo Groups system requires confirmation from the email address used for the membership.)

 

You are done! 

 

Here's what happens next:

 

1.  Your application will be approved - typically within 48 hours.

2.  You will receive a message from Yahoo Groups stating that you are now a member of the group.
